In 2012, somewhere in the heart of Bangkok, Thailand was where it all began: the quest for the perfect T-shirt. Having enjoyed a successful career in the regional film and television industry, actress and former MTV VJ Janesuda ‘Jane’ Parnto was finally able to devote some off-screen time to her longstanding love affair with fashion. For her eponymous clothing line, JANESUDA, the actress went back to basics with one simple desire: to create the most comfy and classic top that would, quite literally, fit to a T.

While she has donned her fair share of dramatic outfits both on and off camera, Jane champions the T-shirt as her ultimate go-to garment. She’s based some of her best looks around this basic wardrobe staple. Yep, the building block of any contemporary woman’s wardrobe begins with the humble tee, but it’s essential to find one that ticks all the right boxes – perfect fit, flattering cut and comfortable cotton. A truly great T-shirt wears like a second skin, offering ample comfort and confidence to its wearer. All these qualities have been captured within the brand’s first mainstay creation, the Signature Tee.

From there, the family of fashionable essentials has continued to grow. Along came the Signature Tank – the sexy, low-cut and bodycon cousin of the Signature Tee, both cut from the same premium fine cotton. Shortly after, the Signature Dress made its debut. Taking design cues and inspiration from its top-half predecessors, the dress features a casual racerback detail that flows seamlessly into a more formal full-length silhouette, making for a feminine yet unfussy and versatile option that has been streamlined to see you through both day and night functions – not to mention the after-party.

Sensual healing

Each and every piece features carefully considered design elements that embody a sensual and flirtatious quality, all the while still maintaining the elegant, effortless and carefree spirit of the JANESUDA ethos.
